About Me:

Super Ability – Narcolepsy

Due to narcolepsy, I can fall asleep in approximately 1–3 minutes, whereas the average person typically falls asleep in 7–15 minutes. Even if I nap for only five minutes, I almost always dream. This leaves me with a choice: to learn lucid dreaming or to embrace what my brain naturally shows me. I chose the latter.

My mind presents me with visions and sounds that become art—from paintings and fashion designs to melodies that feel as real as if they were being played around me.

This is my superpower.

On one hand, calling it a superpower might sound a little cliché, as if I’m comparing myself to a superhero. On the other hand, I believe it’s important to acknowledge narcolepsy and other disabilities, to challenge the stigma surrounding them, and to stop the discrimination and ridicule that people with these conditions often face.

The best way I can contribute is by showing that even something difficult can have a bright side.

Live In Reality

As all superpowers, this one has its downsides:

One of them is the loss of reality. Knowing that it’s something common nowadays due to increased social media consumption – I found people with similiar motives and life-styles. In a meeting we created our mission – to help those who suffer, to wake those who sleep, to wake those… who are in too deep.

To Live In Reality. Each and one of us have a way to do it, mine is through art.
